Privacy
Swapdeck never sees, asks for or stores your password. You type it into Instagram or Threads yourself.
What it keeps
- Login sessions, encrypted with a key that cannot be exported from your browser. A saved session works like being logged in, so it stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
- Each account's username, display name and profile picture.
- Your labels and whether your plan is paid.
What it never touches
- Your password.
- Messages, posts, followers or your feed.
- Anything that identifies you. There are no ads or trackers.
Anonymous stats
The extension sends a few counts so we can tell if it is useful. On by default. Switch off Anonymous stats in the popup to stop them.
- A random install ID the extension makes for itself, not tied to you or your accounts.
- The version, and once a day: accounts saved per site, switches and adds that day, your plan and days since install.
- The install, hitting the free account limit, and clicking Get Pro.
- A two-letter country code. No IP addresses are stored.
Never sent: usernames, user IDs, profile pictures, cookies, login sessions, or anything you do on Instagram or Threads.
This website counts page views and install button clicks without cookies, and skips them when Do Not Track is on. The survey that opens when you remove Swapdeck is optional. Stats are deleted after about 13 months.
Payments
Paid plans run through ExtensionPay and Stripe. Swapdeck only learns whether you have paid.
Good to know
- Removing an account deletes its saved session. Removing the extension deletes everything.
- Swapdeck is not affiliated with Instagram, Threads or Meta. Use it only on accounts you are allowed to access.
